This is Arthur Wilkins I am now retired and find I have more time to devote to my Family History Research. My West Family hailed originally from Roche, and therefore decided that I would volunteer in the Cornish Online Parish Clerk Project, so in these pages you will get some of my Family History, but the majority will be devouted to providing research resources for those researching their Families in Roche.

About the Family Roots

The WEST side of the family hails from ROCHE Cornwall then they moved and are found on the 1861 1871 Census for St Ive Cornwall some of the children being born at Pensilva Cornwall they are next located on the 1881 census for Burnley in North East Lancashire the Coal and Cotton belt of the day, it is known that there was a recruitment drive for labour in the Cornish mining areas in 1871 both by the Coalowners agents and the Cotton manufacturers agents offering better pay and conditions and half time education for the children with houses provided on Rental
